Why is everyone else sending
this kind of garbage to
First and foremost, we are not
accepting garbage at any GreenSafe Demanufacturing plant.
The white goods being processed are end-of-life appliances which are
still operational and could be resold.
However, by
contractual agreement with major retailers and other suppliers, we
are taking them off the grid to reduce the consumption of
electricity and recycle the base materials: steel, copper, aluminum,
glass, plastics, compressors, etc. so they can be reused in
remanufacturing process.
Secondly, all of the ozone depleting substances such as CFCs, HFCs,
HCFCs, PFCs, IsoButanes and Pentanes will be captured from the oils,
the coolants and the foam, to be rendered inert and transformed into
an environmentally safe liquid. This liquid will be a 23%
saline solution which will be used as brine for icy highways during
the winter and dusty roads during the summer.
This plant will have a closed-loop
system, using proven and proprietary European technology, which has
been used successfully for over 16 years. This system will
guarantee up to 99% plus, that no ozone depleting substances will
escape into the atmosphere. Presently, only 50% of the ozone
depleting substances is captured from these end-of-life appliances.
The remaining 50% (foam) is simply crushed and dumped in the
regional solid waste commission sites, where the ozone depleting
substances can escape freely into the atmosphere.
Our plant will house all
end-of-life appliances indoors so there are no unsightly goods left
in plain view.
Thank you very
much for your inquiry, as it is truly helpful in providing
reassurance to the general public that GreenSafe Demanufacturing is
an environmentally safe and sound company. We are a true steward of
our environment.
